Privacy policy

OwnerCare Pro is software that pool, spa, and irrigation contractors use to send care reminders to their customers. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and what control you have over it. It covers ownercarepro.com, app.ownercarepro.com, and the texts and emails sent through them.
Who this covers
- Contractors who create an OwnerCare Pro account.
- Homeowners whose contractor adds them to receive reminders. Your contractor decides to add you and controls your reminder schedule. We handle your information on their behalf, to send those reminders.
Information we collect
From contractors: business name, contact name, business phone, reply-to email, login email, a password (stored only as a secure hash), logo and brand color, time zone, and the reminder schedules and message wording they set up.
About homeowners, entered by their contractor: name, mobile number, email address, street address, installation type and completion date, and any equipment notes.
When homeowners use a reminder link: service requests, including preferred days, best time, and notes such as a gate code. We also record opt-outs from texts or emails.
Message records: a copy of each text and email sent, the recipient address, and its delivery status.
Technical information: the app uses a single cookie to keep contractors logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting and network providers keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To send the care reminders a contractor has scheduled, by text and email.
- To pass service requests from homeowners to their contractor.
- To honor opt-outs, run and secure the service, and provide support.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use homeowner information to market our own or anyone else's products.
Text messages
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run OwnerCare Pro, and only for that purpose:
- Render hosts the app and its database.
- Twilio delivers text messages.
- Postmark delivers email.
- Cloudflare runs our website and domain, protects them from attacks, and stores encrypted database backups.
Each contractor sees the information about their own customers. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep a homeowner's information for as long as their contractor keeps them in OwnerCare Pro. When a contractor deletes a customer, that customer's details, reminders, message records, and service requests are deleted with them. Contractor account information is kept while the account is open, and deleted on request. The database is backed up daily, and each backup is deleted after 90 days, so deleted information can remain in a backup until then.
Your choices
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any text, or choose “Stop text reminders” on any reminder page.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- See, correct, or delete your information: ask your contractor, or email us at [email protected] and we'll work with them to handle it.
Security
All traffic uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and passwords are stored only as secure hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access your information and only keep what the service needs.
Children
OwnerCare Pro is meant for businesses and adult homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify contractors by email.
